Nathaniel Arsenault

Nathaniel Arsenault

Public Health, University of South Carolina

Nathaniel Arsenault is a public health major at the University of South Carolina minoring in statistics and francophone studies. He is a rising sophomore expecting to graduate in May of 2028. He plans on going to graduate school to become an epidemiologist specializing in infectious disease. In his free time he likes to cook, bake, and garden. 

Janessa Bell

Janessa Bell

Biotechnology, Claflin University

Janessa Bell is a Biotechnology major at Claflin University, currently in her second year of study while maintaining junior standing. She is from Cross, South Carolina. Her professional goal is to become a physician assistant (PA). While on this journey, Janessa has developed a strong and growing interest in public health and plans to use it to build a career that consists of patient care as well as improving  health outcomes within communities. 

Kirolos Ikladyous

Kirolos Ikladyous

Exercise Science, University of South Carolina

Kirolos Ikladyous is a sophomore at the University of South Carolina. He is majoring in Public Health and is expected to graduate in May 2027. He is interested in the intersection of psychology, mental health and data science, and is especially interested in how data can be used to understand and improve health outcomes. One of his goals is to work on data-driven research that addresses public health challenges, including mental health and infectious diseases 

Genesis Jonassaint

Biology, Claflin University

Genesis Jonassaint is currently a student at Claflin University majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She is on track to graduate in December 2025. Following graduation, her goal is to attend dental school and pursue a career as a Dentist. 

Zephanae Liis

Data Science, University of South Carolina

Zephanae is a sophomore undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Data Science at the University of South Carolina and expecting to graduate in May of 2027. As an aspiring physician, she hopes to utilize her newfound passion for data science to inform and improve healthcare for underserved communities.  Her professional goals include focusing on humanitarian efforts and driving policy change to create a more equitable healthcare system in South Carolina and beyond. 

Marjan Nathani

Marjan Nathani is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of South Carolina, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. Her professional aspirations include developing a strong foundation in public health research and applying to graduate programs to become a certified Physician Assistant.  

Aaliyah Nimmons

Aaliyah Nimmons

Biology, Claflin University

Aaliyah Nimmons is a sophomore at Claflin University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and is expected to graduate in May 2027. She is from Orangeburg, South Carolina, and has always been passionate about advancing healthcare while becoming both a pharmacist and an entrepreneur. Aaliyah is a Pharmacy Technician Completer, CPR certified, and holds a South Carolina Public Health Preparedness certification. She is a proud member of the Alice Carson Tisdale Honors College and is deeply engaged in campus life and student organizations. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Student National Medical Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her passion for pharmacy is evident through her internship at MUSC Health Orangeburg, where she assisted pharmacists with daily responsibilities, an experience that has helped shape and support her career goals of becoming a pharmacist.

Jamesha Singleton-Weathers

Public Health, Benedict College

Jamesha Singleton is a junior at Benedict College majoring in Public Health. She is expected to graduate in May 2026. Jamesha aspires to attend medical school and become a pediatrician, where she can provide compassionate care to children and promote health equity in underserved communities. Her long-term goal is to combine clinical practice with research to improve health outcomes and make healthcare more accessible and welcoming for all families.

Mileia Snipes is currently a junior at Claflin University majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She is on track to graduate in May 2026. Her professional aspiration is to become a physician.

Public Health, University of South Carolina

Dianelaine Torrenueva, or Diane for short, is a rising senior expected to graduate in the Spring of 2026She is currently studying Public Health at the University of South Carolina and wants to continue her passion for public health by getting a master’s degree. While she is still deciding which area of study she will pursue, her ultimate goal is to obtain a Doctorate in Optometry.

Hannah Villanueva is an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina Columbia, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Sociology. She expects to graduate in May 2027. Her academic interests center on exploring the intersection of health disparities and disease prevention at the population level. She aspires to become an epidemiologist for the CDC, where she can contribute to impactful research and response efforts that improve public health outcomes across the nation. 

NekyHa Zimmerman

NekyHa Zimmerman

Social Work, Benedict College

NeKyHa Zimmerman is a Social Work major at Benedict College, expecting to graduate in May of 2026. Her professional goals are to obtain both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. She plans to enter her career field as an Adoption Specialist, helping children in need find the safe, happy, and loving homes they deserve.  

Kimberly Zobel

Kimberly Zobel

Public Health, University of South Carolina

Kimberly is arising junior at the University of South Carolina-Columbia, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Psychology. She is expected to graduate in December 2026. After graduation, Kimberly plans to attend graduate school to pursue a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology with a focus on Maternal and Child Health. In the future, she aspires to become an epidemiologist for an international health organization in which she will be able to conduct research focused on improving maternal and infant health outcomes in foreign nations.
